Co-Founder and Partner
Mathieu Vaglio
Mathieu Vaglio is a Co-Founder and Partner at Orbit Partners. He joined Vincent during the early stages of the company’s growth, playing a pivotal role in identifying initial scaling opportunities and helping to establish Orbit as the global leader it is today. From the outset, Mathieu has held various roles, and even conducted Orbit’s first Advisor introduction call. He now leads Orbit’s global client management strategy and revenue objectives. Mathieu is focused on driving new business opportunities, having contributed to the successful establishment of Orbit’s US presence. He is now concentrating on expanding the firm’s activities in the APAC region, ensuring that Orbit continues to deliver top-quality partnerships for clients.
Before joining Orbit, Mathieu gained private equity experience in a graduate role at Third Bridge, followed by a position as Senior Investment Associate at Voltaire, where he financed real estate development projects across Europe and the UK. Mathieu’s entrepreneurial journey began alongside Vincent, a decision for which he remains grateful.
Born and raised in Marseille, France, Mathieu is an avid football enthusiast with a deep passion for the Mediterranean, particularly its culinary arts and famed weather. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, exploring as much of the world as possible.
Managing Director, Europe
Emily Armitage
Emily Armitage is the Managing Director of Europe at Orbit Partners, where she leads the rapidly growing European team across sectors. Since joining Orbit over six years ago, Emily has been instrumental in establishing the firm’s UK market presence and driving expansion across Europe. She works closely with clients across Europe to help them build a competitive edge on upcoming investments and oversees global product and service innovation initiatives to enhance Orbit’s offerings.
Before joining Orbit, Emily worked in the Financial Stability team at HM Treasury, gaining valuable experience in Economic policy. She holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Surrey.
Originally from Norfolk, Emily is a keen sailor, scuba diver and lover of the sea. Outside of Orbit, she is passionate about volunteering for causes that are important to her, including her work with Impetus, a key charity partner at Orbit Partners.
Managing Director, Talent
Johanna Hockmann
Johanna Hockmann is a Managing Director at Orbit Partners’ London office. Since joining in 2019, she has built and led Orbit’s HR function from the ground up, developing the company’s HR and talent initiatives.
Before Orbit, Johanna worked at GLG, contributing to strategic projects and gaining valuable insights into the research and consulting sectors. Prior to that, she was part of Freshminds, a search and research consultancy.
Outside of her corporate career, Johanna is also an accomplished professional soprano, having performed at notable venues such as the Teatro Communale in Modena, the Opera Estate Festival in Bassano del Grappa, and London’s Royal Festival Hall.
Managing Director, North America
Tatiana Bell
Tatiana Bell leads Orbit Partners’ North American Operations. After relocating to NYC in January 2021, Tatiana built out the US team and was later promoted to Managing Director in January 2023. Since then, Tatiana has been instrumental in driving Orbit’s regional expansion. She has also played a key role in shaping the company’s Execution Excellence program and contributed to defining key roles in Product and Marketing/Business Development functions, enhancing the firm’s service offerings.
Tatiana brings expertise in team management, sales, and business development. She is credited with coining the term "Orbiteer" a term which is now central to Orbit’s company culture. Additionally, Tatiana played a pivotal role in securing the River Fund as a charity partner.
Her achievements include joining the Chief network and outside of Orbit, she is a keen Scottish reeler (a form of country dance) and sits on the Committee for the Royal Caledonian Ball, the UK's oldest charity ball in the world (held annually since 1849). Before Orbit, she gained valuable industry experience through internships at Bridgepoint and Owner Venture Managers.
Managing Director, Operations
Evan Leary
Evan Leary joined Orbit Partners in 2016 and is the Managing Director, Operations. He built the company’s core operations, IT, and finance functions, maintaining a strong focus on supporting global expansion. Notably, Evan coordinated the restructuring of the group and the establishment of Orbit’s first international affiliate office in the United States in 2020.
Evan is responsible for ensuring the company’s infrastructure and systems align with its long-term strategic objectives and oversees key external relationships. He leads the Operations team in close collaboration with other departments, optimising processes and driving continuous improvement to enhance performance, efficiency, and scalability.
Evan holds a Master of Science in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Washington College. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the English countryside with his family and his boisterous Old English Sheepdog.
Founder and CEO
Vincent Lambert
Vincent Lambert is the Founder and CEO of Orbit, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the private equity industry. Before founding Orbit, Vincent held roles at Apax Partners France and Summit Partners in London, where he progressed from Associate to Senior Principal over an eight-year tenure. At Summit, he specialized in originating, diligencing, and managing investments across Europe and Emerging Markets.
Leveraging this experience, Vincent founded Orbit Partners and has led its growth from a single-person venture into a global organization serving top-tier private capital institutions across sectors and geographies. He has championed a strategic vision focused on sustainable growth while maintaining the company’s core values and ensuring resources align with long-term objectives. Vincent’s expertise spans the entire private capital investment process, with a particular focus on translating challenges into practical, people-centered solutions.
Outside of work, Vincent is passionate about outdoor sports, including running, cycling, skiing, climbing, and mountaineering—activities he enjoys both solo and with friends and family.
